Ad free[]

Hi! Would you like this wiki to be ad-free? I'm looking for wikis to be part of a new program which would remove all ads from the wiki for $19.95/month.

If you are interested, please be visit here to sign up. Let me know if you have any questions! - sannse (help forum | blog) 21:14, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

Sublimed??[]

Do you have any info on the Sublimed or have any plans on making a page about them? Haloboy123 22:08, May 13, 2012 (UTC)

An article on the Sublimed is in the stars... sometime in the future. It's a daunting task reading through eight novels and a few short stories (again!) while attempting to catalogue stuff at the same time, and I haven't been doing a lot of that lately. - Meco (talk, contribs) 00:36, May 14, 2012 (UTC)

Merge related wikis?[]

Can https://the-culture-universe.fandom.com be merged into this wiki? Omegatron (talk) 03:27, August 11, 2020 (UTC)

Unrelated Content[]

Someone seems to be adding a lot of edits and pages relating to the Mortal Engines book.  Not sure if this is malicious or not, but there are several new pages which don't belong but can only be deleted by a mod.  Lmhrpr

This seems to be the only admin and didn't respond to my previous messages. The_Culture_Wiki:Administrators#Who_are_this_wiki.27s_administrators.3F  Don't forget to sign your comments with four tildes. Omegatron (talk) 10:09, September 1, 2020 (UTC)
The user in question made some edits on a wiki I manage a couple months back. I've looked into some of their other contributions elsewhere, and from what I've gathered, they like adding unrelated content to scifi wikis as part of some sort of crossover fanfiction they've got in their head, seemingly oblivious to any of the wikis policies on such content. The user was banned, but it looks like that didn't last long, and they haven't learned.
In any case, since the only admin here hasn't been active since 2016, an adoption request might be necessary. At the very least, I'll mark the articles for deletion and report the user. Maybe this time it'll stick. - Hathomirr (talk) 00:33, September 3, 2020 (UTC)
Yep, made an adoption request but I don't think anyone meets the criteria.  Hopefully they'll pass it anyway. The user seems to understand that the content is not appropriate here and has stopped?: User_talk:Omegatron Omegatron (talk) 00:45, September 3, 2020 (UTC)
From what I remember on his activity elsewhere, he hasn't listened to others who have tried contacting him over his edits (and has sometimes argued with them). He seems to leave eventually, but I'd rather just have him taken care of before he vandalizes other vulnerable wikis. I've already reported him, and I'll give you an update if I get a response.
Good luck with the adoption! Just be consistent about editing for a week or so, and you should get it (that's how its gone for all the wikis I've adopted before). - Hathomirr (talk) 01:07, September 3, 2020 (UTC)

The Destroyers[]

Hey, guys! I've got a mod based on Iain M. Banks' The Culture novel series in the making.

I know such info doesn't belong here on this wiki. Where can I promote these? -- 121.122.106.177 14:42, September 3, 2020 (UTC)
