A nanomissile was a Culture weapon, 1 millimeter long and 0.1 mm in diameter, that used antimatter as an explosive.[1] A single missile's destructive power could level a building.[2] They contained engines (which produced plasma/radiation exhaust), processing[3] and sensors.[2]
The drone Sisela Ytheleus carried 240 nanomissiles,[3] and the knife missiles of the Miniaturised Drone Advanced Weapon System (MDAWS) carried them as well.[1]
