Seddun-Braijsa Byr Fruel Genar-Hofoen dam Ois was a citizen and ambassador of The Culture, specializing in exobiology. He represented The Culture to the Affront, seeming to be the first Culture ambassador to be able to appreciate their "barbaric" ways.
He was then called to steal the stored personality of Zreyn Tramow, captain of GCU Problem Child, from GSV Sleeper Service.
He travelled the galaxy just to be reunited with his old lover Dajeil Gelian, and in the end joined the Affront, now also in body.
