The Aultridia are a Low-level Involved species native to airspheres. They originated as parasites living between skin layers under the carapaces of Xinthian Tensile Aeranothaurs, but have since evolved to become sapient and free-living entities. After attaining sapience, the Xinthians negotiated with them, giving them more advanced technology in exchange for cessation of parasitism.
Their bodies were mat-like or pelliform, faceless, and smelled like rotting meat. They lived in an environment filled with a glowing, purple, thick cloud-like atmosphere that provided no visibility to human eyes.
A population of Aultridia lived on the Shellworld Sursamen.
Due to their parasitic origins, grotesque appearance and adverse relationship to the much-revered Aeranothaurs, Aultridia are reviled by many sapient species in the galaxy.
